Australian Premiere of ‘The Wings of the Wind’

‘The Wings of the Wind’ was given its Australian premiere in Brisbane by Stephen Layton and The Choir of Trinity College Cambridge on Sunday 17 July, with ten further performances in the series including Sydney, Melbourne, Adelaide, Newcastle, Canberra, Perth, and Hobart. The choir also gave the first performance in Hong Kong on Monday 11 July in the Cultural Centre.

Limelight magazine reviewed the choir’s second concert in Melbourne Recital Centre on 19 July: “Organ scholar and choir member Owain Park, aged just 22, offered a vivid, effervescent texture in The Wings of the Wind, in one of the more technically athletic pieces of the evening.”
