As part of their Voice of Children series, Owain debuted with Opus Anglicanum in Chipping Campden, where they sang his Fantasia on English Children’s Songs, commissioned by the choir in 2013.
More about Opus Anglicanum:
Opus Anglicanum – “English Work” – is 5 men singing unaccompanied and a narrator founded in 1988 – we have performed for the Royal Northern College of Music, BBC Radio 3, Festival de Wallonie, Windsor Festival, Endellion Festival, and the Three Choirs Festivals at Gloucester, Hereford, and at Worcester.
Our story-telling sequences have covered subjects as diverse as the Sonnets of Shakespeare, the Cornish fishing industry, the collecting of English folk music, the Tudor poet John Skelton, the escape of Charles 2nd, Einstein’s theory of relativity, and the sinking of the destroyer HMS Duchess in 1939.
